music 2sday

Rarely do i find music i like. I feel as though im doomed to listen to the same rubbish till i die. Yesterday i stumbled upon Dead Man's Bones. Reading up on it i found out all the music was for some Halloween musical or something that was never made cause of money issues. But yeah, i like this. Sounds a bit different. Reminds me of some weird toned down Arcade Fire or something along those lines. Heres two songs for you to hate on. Remember kids, HATE is so IN right now. So Stay Fashionable.

@ Art Basel in Miami

So me and Ticky went down to Miami for ART BASEL last week. My buddy Marty cashed in some flyer miles and came with us. We were lucky enough to be included in the amazing group of artists that were asked to paint a professional NBA backboard for the ART OF BASKETBALL show which I might add couldn't have gone better. It was an amazing show and everyone down there that turned that shitty warehouse into an amazing art space did an incredible job!- Curated by BilliKid and James & Karla Murray.

Now i'm not artsy and shit, I don't read artists blogs or graffit sites so i never know what the hell is going on so I had no idea what the hell Art Basel is, and for those of you that don't know either, its a bunch of gallerys from around the globe all leasing spaces down in Miami and having awesome art shows. Everywhere you went there was live painting and show openings and sick partys with free drinks and hot chicks

We had a blast. Everyday was wake up, free breakfast, loaf and smoke cigs by the pool, and then go out and put stickers up from one art show to the next. Every street there were walls getting destroyed with amazing pieces, huge pastes, and every sign wrecked with stickers from not just the local Miami artists and writers, but people from around the world.

.

I met Revok, went to a photo show by Neck Face, Jerry Hsu, and Kevin Long, saw enormous pastings by Gaia, Celso, and Obey, and sat at a VIP after party and drank beers with Cope2. I went to more art shows in 5 days then I have been in 5 years, I'm sure i did'nt see everything there was to see, but fuck it. What i did see was amazing. All in all a pretty kick ass time

I'd like to thanks Hayley & Bill Fickett, BilliKid, James and Karla, Marty, good ole ma & pa, SB & 33, Revok, Mr. Mac, the fine people at US airways, Justin, Billy, Eddie, Andy, Marty, Mark, Landon, Matt, Dustin, Josh, Pat, Sean, Damon, all the people i'm forgetting, and everyone and anyone that has supported, enjoyed, or complimented us on our artwork over the last 5 years.
